Cruce de caminos: Filmmakers from the Canaries

The Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote opened for the first time in 2010 with the screening in Cueva de los Verdes of a film made in the Canaries. Since then, the festival has always shown a special interest in films produced in the islands. This year, thanks to the invaluable advice of Clúster Audiovisual de Canarias, we decided to make this section competitive. It aspires to offer support to the work carried out by our local filmmakers and, by including these productions in a special section evaluated by the event’s international jury, we hope to further boost their visibility and trajectories.
