Movements of a Nearby Mountain

Cliff, a Nigerian migrant living in Austria, runs a small used-cars business in a remote, abandoned industrial site next to a field where people play paint-ball. Now and again people drop by to offer him dilapidated old cars. Occasional buyers from the edges of Europe pop up looking for second, third or fourth-hand cars. What can’t be sold is broken up for scrap and spare parts which he sends back to Nigeria, where a new life awaits them. His business is a strange mirror reflection of the consumer society: between garbage man and recycling culture.
