In recent years, one of the hopes of the Muestra de Cine has been to succeed in bringing the cinema and audiovisual experience to children in all the municipalities of Lanzarote. That is the idea behind a number of activities organized to offer our youngest population a gateway through which to begin to understand that images have the power to convey information, knowledge, values, meaning and even beauty, or, on the contrary, to alienate and disconnect us from our environment.

The intention is for the films screened in the family sessions to be related with the festival’s annual subject matter. It is both a leisure activity and at the same time an opportunity for children to learn something important about their island. And to make that rapprochement fun and entertaining, the sessions are always presented by two puppets who know the history of Lanzarote very well.
