The history of painting is full of artworks in which many of the things depicted are there as part of a setting, elements included to accompany the true protagonists: individuals and their actions.

However, a more thorough and attentive gaze allows us to discover many of those things or “accessory elements” that provide structure to the truth of those representations: their potentiality, their reality and consistency.

A filmmaker at rest begins to pay attention to a tree, one of those elements that has been represented many times in artworks. Little by little, the tree becomes the true protagonist and stops being a mere thing and become a substantial part of the world.
