San Borondón is a mythical island that appears and disappears. Throughout history, maps have located it near the Canary Islands. In the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the legend of San Borondón led to expeditions to discover and conquer it. Now, after centuries of languishing in oblivion, the island has finally been found.
