Cuidando al sol

On a small island in the Bolivian part of Lake Titicaca, the highest-altitude lake in the world, lives Lucía, a ten-year-old girl, with her mother, father and younger sister. The lack of resources and the struggling local economy force her father to leave them behind and move to the capital, where job opportunities are said to be more plentiful. It is then that Lucía begins to understand loss, longing and the hope of a return. While waiting for her father, she makes the most of her days with the help of her beloved alpaca and her role as a local exotic attraction for the tourists visiting the island.
