A group of women of different ages meet up to rethink, from a close, critical perspective, what it means to be a woman in rural contexts. Through sharing old photographs and recalling intimate stories of those who are no longer with us, they rescue from silence the lives that time has left in the shadows. A collective portrait emerges from these leisurely conversations, everyday gestures and shared uncertainties, exploring what it means to live in a world that has rarely depicted their lives with justice. This short film came about in a collaborative workshop in which each participant contributes her own voice, her memories and her way of seeing. A form of resistance takes shape in this shared act of creation, making visible what has been left outside the frame for decades.
