También la lluvia

Trasfoco

In Cochabamba, Bolivia, where water has become a luxury and the streets boil over with anger and dignity, a Spanish film crew arrives to shoot a movie about the conquest of America. As they recreate for the big screen the violence and plunder
of past centuries, outside the set the local community rises up against the privatization of water, defending a right as basic as it is ancient. The tensions of the production—budgets, egos, deadlines—begin to clash with the reality of the protests, and the boundaries between the history being depicted and the history unfolding before their eyes are increasingly blurred. In the middle of the turmoil, water re-emerges as bond and as wound: what people are fighting for and what reveals which side of justice each person chooses to stand on.
