The invention of the other

In the Vale do Javari territory, in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest, a group of natives from the Korubo people splits from its community as a result of a conflict with another group with which they are in permanent dispute. Removed from their environment they receive help from the FUNAI (National Indigenous People Foundation), an organisation whose mandate is to protect and take care of ethnic groups and their territories.

This is the beginning of a big mission in the very heart of the rainforest with a view to reunifying the community. It will be here that everybody, whites and natives, cameras and eyes, animals and humans, may identify their differences but also their similarities.
