Children of the Beehive

Trasfoco: And Life Goes On Section

On 6 August 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Hiroshima. With cold-blooded irony, the Americans in charge of the action had named it Little Boy. It was the first atomic bomb ever used as a weapon of war, and the first one dropped on a civil population. Tens of thousands of people were wiped out instantaneously. Those who managed to survive, many of them also little boys and little girls, joined together to rebuild their lives. A group of them travel the country in the company of a soldier returning from the front. Like little urban and rural rascals, they try to reconstruct their lives. In the midst of joy and tragedy, inventiveness and affection stand out as a new hope for them.
