The Wind. A Documentary Thriller

Trasfoco: The wind

There is a wind called halny which blows in the Tatra mountains in the south of Poland and in Slovakia. It is a warm dry, down-slope windstorm that blows through the valleys and often causes disastrous material effects. It is a devastating element for the people who live in this area, in October and November and sometimes in February and March, when it usually occurs. Besides being able to knock down trees and rip off roofs, it is also believed that is can drive people mad. In a small village the inhabitants try to manage as best they can with the recurrent arrival of this thundering wind.
