The Wolf House
A small community of German migrants has been living for decades in a remote rural area in Chile. At the beginning of the film, the leader of the community explains that their philosophy of purity, identity, strictness and order only aspires to a life in harmony with and attuned to their surroundings and their Chilean “brothers”. However, underlying these seemingly kindly and tolerant words is the voice of toned-down fascism. Anyone who does not obey the rules or who fails to comply with the unyielding strictness of the community is severely reprimanded. After being punished, María escapes into the forest and tries to establish a new community of love and peace. The horror from which she flees cannot be worse than any flight.
