Call of young Jury
01/10/2019 – 27/10/2019
The contact with students and the approach of independent cinema to the younger generations is one of the fundamental motivations of the project. In a world like today, in which audiovisual languages mutate at high speed and colonize all aspects of reality, the approach to non-commercial cinema is important, when not directly necessary, as it helps to think the images and what with them it is transmitted: values, ideology, emotions, etc.
In the films that Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote presents and debates, topics of high relevance are always addressed; issues that determine our socio-political spaces or that condense a deep historical and cultural background. For this reason, they are especially relevant for those young people who are forming their criteria and their approach to the world.
For all these reasons, Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote launches one more year the call of a young Jury. This Jury aims to motivate those who conform it to boost their critical sense towards images and to know more deeply the audiovisual environment that today forms us.
