La Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote is a project organized by the Asociación Tenique Cultural, a non-profit organization whose main objectives are to promote, screen, and foster discussion around independent cinema, analyze the local context in which it develops, and connect it at a global level. The 16th edition of the project is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 29, 2026.

In the Official Feature Film Section, films of any nationality may participate, provided they were produced after January 1, 2025, and have a running time of over 40 minutes. This category will include a single Best Film Award, endowed with €6,500, which will once again be granted by a jury composed of prominent figures from the film and cultural sectors at the international, national, and regional levels, and whose deliberations will be held in public.

Meanwhile, the section “Crossroads: Filmmakers from the Canary Islands” is aimed at filmmakers from the archipelago, offering a platform for the screening of short films that reflect the cultural and narrative richness of the region. This category will include a €1,200 award for the best work.
